EML Research gGmbH is a private non-profit research laboratory dedicated to basic and applied research in IT with a focus on bioinformatics and natural language processing. Job Description:
We are seeking outstanding candidates to establish an independent research group addressing fundamental questions in biophysics from a theoretical and/or computational perspective. The activities of the new research group should complement the existing groups at EML Research (see www.eml-research.de) as well as related activities at the University of Heidelberg and other research organizations in the region. Through a collaboration agreement with the University of Heidelberg group leaders at EML Research can assume various academic responsibilities.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop an internationally recognized research program.
Group leaders at EML Research are encouraged to obtain additional funding through grant applications to national and international funding agencies.

Requirements:
Candidates must hold a doctorate in Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry or a related discipline. They should have at least 3 years of post-doctoral work experience in their scientific field. In addition they should have demonstrated independent research and leadership skills.
