Applications are invited for two positions of Systems Biology Modeling Scientist (Job ID#: 929552), within the Systems Biology Group of the Biotherapeutics and Bioinnovation Center (BBC) at Cambridge, MA.

A summary of responsibilities for the two positions are listed below. For more information about the BBC and the roles and responsibilities, please visit the Pfizer Career site (http://www.pfizer.com/careers) and search for the job title "Systems Biology Modeler - 2 positions (R4/R5)" or by Job ID number (929552).

[1] Disease-level Modeler:

You will use your knowledge of biological systems at the physiological and molecular level combined with advanced applied mathematics to build complex models of health, disease and disease processes in the areas of diabetes, cancer, and inflammation. You will develop and apply methodologies for identifying how molecular level interventions will manifest as systemic and clinical effects.  Experience with PBPK modeling and/or modeling of immunology, metabolism or disease/physiology level modeling is preferred.

[2] Systems Analysis Modeler:

The systems modeler will use analytical techniques to expose and leverage biological phenomena to integrate biological information to cellular systems. You will conceptualize information flow within complex biological systems and implement quantitative models of said systems.   The ideal candidate will have the ability to apply a deep understanding of mathematical theory and physical systems in the context of biology. Experience applying a variety of mathematical approaches to biological systems including multi-scale modeling, translating from systems-level to cellular processes and vice versa in normal and diseased physiology is highly desirable.
