A postdoctoral position at Columbia University 
A postdoctoral position is available for a highly motivated and creative individual with a strong quantitative background. The main project will be associated to the development, integration and implementation of novel techniques to analyze electronic health records and biomedical literature, working in an interdisciplinary environment. The project is a collaboration between Carol Friedman, Geroge Hripcsak and Raul Rabadan at Columbia University, New York.
Applicants must have a PhD degree in any quantitative science (preferably physics, astrophysics, computer science, computational biology, statistics or mathematics). Medical/biological knowledge is not expected but highly valued. The candidate should have a working knowledge of programming with demonstrated experience in problem solving. Excellent organizational and communication skills are a must.
