PhD Student - Systems Biology of Small Molecules open

The Helmholtz Zentrum is a member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres, a leading association Europe-wide, focusing on "Environmental Health".
The aim of its research is to proactively detect health risks for both humans and the environment, decoding the mechanisms of pathogenesis and developing concepts for prevention and therapy of diseases.
The new research group "Systems Biology of Small Molecules" has a Ph.D position open available immediately.

Job Description
- Develop computational methods to integrate existing datasets from small molecules and proteins with new data generated in collaboration with experimental groups
- To understand better the mode of action of small molecules in biological systems, their phenotypic effects and to predict their impact on human diseases

Your Qualifications
- Diploma/Master or equivalent degree preferably in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or Chemistry/Biology with a computational component
- Programming skills
- Interest on biology
- Highly motivated and team oriented
